A fresh take on beautiful Bach!

J.S. Bach never heard a saxophone, but the traits of this modern instrument – it’s clarity, virtuosity, expressivity – are ideal for conveying the Great Composer’s brilliant musical ideas.

BACH REMIXED offers up a fresh, contemporary look at a wealth of Bach’s beautiful Sonatas performed by a dynamic duo of musicians, Nicolai Tarasov (saxophone) and Nancy Sicsic (piano).

Nicolai Tarasov is a virtuosic performer who has been featured with many outstanding orchestras throughout Europe and in North America. Founder and Artistic Director of Toronto’s acclaimed Academy Concert Series, Nicolai is a profoundly versatile musician whose passions span period instrument ensembles to more contemporary art forms.

Nancy Sicsic has toured North America with varied engagements as a piano soloist and chamber musician, and as an organist. A sensitive artist-collaborator, Nancy is also a partner in an innovative duo piano team.

BACH REMIXED promises astounding musical sounds delivered in an intimate setting, plus a post-concert meet-the-musicians reception. Divine music, delectable munchies, a delightful Sunday diversion for music-lovers!
