About

The 19th International Gilbert & Sullivan Festival One of the most popular and well-known of the Gilbert and Sullivan operas.A fiendish crew of orphaned pirates, bumbling policemen, a bevy of beautiful maidens and of course the Major General are the engaging characters in this hilarious masterpiece just brimming with wit and jollity. Including all-time favourites such as I Am The Very Model Of A Modern Major-General, Hail Poetry, With Cat-Like Tread and When The Foeman Bares His Steel. You will be singing all the way home!
We are delighted to welcome Godalming Operatic Society back to Buxton. The Society was founded in 1925, and (with the exception of the war years) has put on a major Gilbert and Sullivan production in every subsequent year.
