Dynamic performers with expressive voices and plangent harmonies, The Webb Sisters are multi-instrumentalists and songwriters employing the harp, guitar, mandolin, piano, drums and close vocal harmonies to create a distinct acoustic folk sound. Described by BBC Radio Ulster as a ‘female Simon and Garfunkel for the modern age’, Charley and Hattie’s sublime harmonies have caught the attention of several renowned artists, leading to the sisters featuring on Sting’s album If On a Winter’s Night… and supporting Leonard Cohen on his record-breaking tour during 2008-2010. The Webb Sisters have also performed alongside numerous other artists including Richard Thompson, Jamie Cullum, Rufus Wainwright, Gotye, Jason Mraz, James Morrison, Kubb, Katie Melua, Leya and Joe Echo, as well as representing the United Kingdom at America's 400th Anniversary celebrations, contributing songs to several major TV shows (such as Cane on CBS), and recording a pro-peace song Fortune of Soldiers for a Judy Collins tribute album Born To The Breed alongside Dolly Parton and Chrissie Hynde. The duo have recorded three albums, including the 2011 release Savages which features the song Baroque Thoughts , awarded Best Adult Contemporary Song at the International Music Awards. Support comes from Sam Semple .
