About

Both former Junior Fellows at the Royal College of Music, Belgian violinist Jens Lynen and English pianist Jennifer Hughes have performed in the UK and abroad on numerous occasions. Their partnership was established at the Royal College of Music in 2012 and has flourished ever since, displaying their musicianship from Bach over Brahms to Schoenberg. Jens and Jennifer are much in demand as a duo and chamber music partner. They have performed on prestigious festivals such as the Bergen Festival (Norway), Menuhin Festival Gstaad (Switzerland), Aurora Festival (Sweden) and at the BBC Proms. Jennifer also has a succesful duo partnership with Estonian violinist Mari Poll, whilst Jens is a founding member of piano quartet Tetragonist whose debut album was released by Dutch label Aliud Records in 2014. W.A. Mozart Sonata for piano and violin in G major K301 O. Messiaen   Theme and variations E. Grieg Sonata for violin and piano no.2 in G major op.13 I. Paderewski Melodie op.16 no.2 (arr. F. Kreisler) ENCORE Classical Coffee Mornings give you the chance to listen to outstanding talent from the Royal College of Music at Sunday morning classical recitals in the Hall's Elgar Room. Tickets include a hot drink and a pastry. Doors open at 10.15am with music from 11am to 12 noon. The series is part of a wide range of events to enjoy outside our main auditorium.
