This is an edition of Tomaso Albinoni's (1671-1750) Sonate da Chiesa. The original used for this edition is a facsimile of a copy printed by Roger in Amsterdam, probably 1708, now preserved in Bibliotheque Nationale de Paris. It was marked with "Opera Quarta", but the number does not correspond to Albinoni's Op. 4.
While making this edition I have always tried to keep it as close to the original score as possible. For example, the beams and slurs are the same as in the original manuscript. All accidentals have been copied exactly as written, but in cases where todays practice is different, I have tried to clarify by putting accidentals above the staffs.
