About Cantata No. 170
Johann Sebastian Bach composed the church cantata Vergnügte Ruh, beliebte Seelenlust, BWV 170 in Leipzig for the sixth Sunday after Trinity. It is a solo cantata for alto which he first performed on 28 July 1726.
